Service Delivery & Scheduling Timelines
JZ Contracting LLC · Effective September 1, 2026
JZ Contracting is a service business. Nothing is shipped or mailed. All work is performed on site at your property. When you pay us, you are either reserving capacity on our schedule for upcoming work or paying for work we have already completed, not ordering a product for delivery.
Charges appear on your statement as JZ CONTRACTING LLC.
What Happens After You Pay
- Confirmation. You receive a receipt immediately and a written scheduling confirmation with the date and arrival window, by email or text within 1 business day.
- Pre-work steps. Depending on the job, this may include permit applications, Miss Utility (811) markings, equipment ordering, or a site visit. We tell you which apply and what they add to the timeline.
- Service performed. A crew arrives within the confirmed window and completes the work.
- Walkthrough and completion. We walk you through the finished work on site. For HVAC installations we review system operation, filter changes, and warranty registration before leaving.

These are typical ranges, not guarantees. Where your signed contract states a completion date or schedule, that contract controls. Otherwise your written confirmation is the controlling date.
Snow & Ice Scheduling
Snow service cannot be scheduled in advance because it depends on the weather. Instead:
- Service is triggered automatically once accumulation reaches 2 inches, or as specified in your contract. You do not need to call us.
- We aim to be on site within 4 hours of the trigger threshold being met, subject to storm severity and route position.
- During heavy or prolonged storms, we work continuously and return to properties on a rotating route. Multiple visits may occur in a single event.
- Pre-treatment is applied ahead of forecast storms where conditions warrant.
- Seasonal contracts are paid for coverage across the entire season, not per visit. Payment secures your property's place on the route before the season starts.
Hauling Hours
Under Montgomery County Code § 48-21(b), solid waste collection near residential structures may not occur before 7:00 AM (9:00 AM Sundays and federal holidays) or after 9:00 PM. All hauling is scheduled within those hours.
Work Requiring Permits or Utility Markings
Where a permit, inspection, or Miss Utility (811) marking is required, the timeline includes those steps and they are outside our control. Utility marking in Maryland requires a minimum of two full business days' notice before digging. Permit review times vary with Montgomery County DPS workload. We start these steps as soon as the contract is signed and keep you updated on status.
Delays
Work may be rescheduled for weather, unsafe ground or site conditions, permit delays, supply chain shortages, or emergency calls that take priority. If your date moves:
- We notify you directly by phone, text, or email as soon as we know.
- We offer the earliest available replacement date.
- If a delay makes the work no longer useful to you, you may cancel under our Refund, Cancellation & Dispute Policy and receive a refund of any amounts paid for work not performed.
We do not cancel confirmed appointments without contacting you.
Access
We need access to the property, the equipment, and the work area at the confirmed time, with pets secured. If we arrive and cannot safely perform the work, the visit is treated as a missed appointment and a $125 trip fee may apply, unless your contract states otherwise.
